Among the fastest-growing gig economy/online skills in terms of demand following the Covid-19 pandemic are ecommerce and data visualization, according to the third annual Skills Index released by Business Talent Group, an online talent marketplace.

The report looks at data from thousands of projects.

Skills most quickly growing in demand in the time of Covid-19 (as measured from March-June of 2020 compared to the preceding four months) include:

  2. Data visualization, up 425%
  3. Product development, up 350%
  4. Organizational transformation, up 225%
  5. Financial controls, accounting and audit, up 200%
  6. Crisis management, up 160%
  7. Customer experience and insights, up 160%
  8. Logistics, up 160%
  9. Post-merger integration, up 160%
  10. Training and leadership development, up 100%
